I have been using Watchdog since June, 2003. I needed something that I could effectively limit my children’s time on the computer. I selected Watchdog because of its flexibility and inexpensive price (after trying out the free download). I have been able to set up 2 logon accounts for each child: one tailored to school work & one to recreation. I am able to set up each account so that only certain applications can be executed. This way, I can allow them unlimited school time on the computer and limit the amount of play time. It has dramatically limited the arguments in the household; everyone know the limits and Watchdog is the tool that enforces it. I also track the web sites visited and keystrokes typed (Instant Messaging) on a selective basis. The kids have been alerted that I can do this, so hopefully it will keep them out of trouble. Watchdog works well on earlier Windows operating systems that don’t have secure logon capabilities. The author has been very responsive to emails sent to him. I fully recommend the program.

WatchDog has been a great tool to allow my children to use our computers without personally monitoring each one of them. WatchDog will only allow them access at the times and usage which I decide and keeps track across all computers on my home network. It will also monitor and log their software and internet usage. The support for this program has been exceptional. Bugs and usage issues have been resolved quickly when reported. The current version of the software is extremely robust and stable. Trust me; you won’t find a more feature-rich PC time manager program this good for such a great price. I have tried them all.
