NOTE: Installing a new version of WatchDog will NOT erase your old configuration. If you want to clear your old configuration first, please read our Resetting WatchDog’s Configuration Guide.
To upgrade to the latest version of WatchDog, you will need to follow these steps:
- If you have WatchDog Vet installed as a separate program, you will need to uninstall it first, because starting in version 9.3, WatchDog Vet is built in as part of WatchDog. To see if you have it installed as a separate program, please go to your Control Panel (Start | Settings | Control Panel or Start | Control Panel) and look for it under Add/Remove Programs.
- Exit the currently running WatchDog. To do this, right click on the dog icon
in the icon tray, and select Exit.
- Run the wdcurrent.exe program you have downloaded from
here.
- Install WatchDog to the same location as you did the previous version
(C:\Program Files\WatchDog\ by default).
- Once setup is complete, you can run the new version of WatchDog by going to Start | Programs | WatchDog in the Start Menu.
